We collect aggregate analytics about page views so we can tell which guides are useful. This data is not used to identify individual readers.
If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us in order to send you what you signed up for. We do not sell or rent it, and you can unsubscribe from any email we send.

Ghost, the software this site runs on, sets a small number of functional cookies — for example to keep you signed in if you have an account here. Affiliate links may set cookies belonging to the retailer; those are governed by the retailer's own privacy policy.
Third parties
Outbound links to extension services, journals and retailers take you to sites with their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
